Q: How are my premiums calculated?
A: Premiums are risk rated based on your personal circumstances and the assets that you wish insure. For instance, what make of vehicle you drive and where you live, amongst other questions will be asked when your premium is being determined.

Q: What is an excess?
A: - An excess is an uninsured amount that you have to pay in the event of a loss and forms a portion of your loss - An excess is agreed upon upfront and will be included into your benefit schedule.

Q: Can I decide what I want to pay as an excess?
A: You are allowed to select a flexible excess, that way you are in a position to influence your monthly premiums to suit your personal needs.

Q: What type of vehicles are covered under the RCS Motor Policy?
A: A motorcar, motorcycle, LDV, caravan, trailer or certain watercraft that is appropriately registered in South Africa would qualify to be insured.

Q: Do I qualify for a better premium if I combine my motor, home contents and building insurance?
A: Yes, a discount may be applicable if you combine your motor, home contents and building insurance into your policy. However, this is dependent on your risk and personal circumstances.

Q: What is All Risks insurance cover?
A: All Risks Insurance covers your personal possessions that you normally wear or take out of your home with you, such as clothing, jewellery and cameras.

Q: What happens if I miss a premium?
A: You shall be entitled to a period of 15 (fifteen) days from the premium due date in which to pay your premium. This period of grace only applies from the second month of the currency of the policy.

Q: How do I lodge a claim?
A: Contact the Claims Department by telephone within 72 (seventy two) hours of the event taking place.

Q: Can I cancel the policy at any time?
A: Yes, however, 30 days notice is required.
